Survey of Counseling Faculty Regarding International Students

Kok-Mun Ng, Assistant Professor in the Department of Counseling at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and an NBCC Board of Directors member, has published the results of his survey of counselor educators in the International Journal for the Advancement of Counselling (v28, no.1). The survey asked U.S. counselor training faculty to report on their perceptions and experiences with international students.

Dr. Ng’s respondents rated students on ten areas relating to their academic success and social and personal adjustment. Additionally reported were respondent views on the steps faculties were taking to respond to the needs of this student subgroup.
